History

A Legacy Spanning Centuries

The history of black caviar in the Caspian Sea region is as old as the love for good food itself. Centuries ago, fishermen paddled out into the Caspian Sea with handmade nets to catch the "kings of the seas" – the sturgeon. The valuable roe was carefully removed, meticulously cleaned, and refined with a pinch of salt. Stored in specially crafted containers, they awaited the moment to make connoisseurs' hearts beat faster. And let's be honest – who can resist such dedication?

Caviar production in earlier times

The harvesting and processing of caviar has a centuries-old history, especially in the regions around the Caspian Sea. As early as the Middle Ages, caviar was considered a special delicacy in Russian and Persian culture – not only for nobles, but also as protein-rich food for monks during Lent.
